Beyond 28 – Audio Up
Audio Up Media, a prominent podcast studio and network located in Los Angeles, California, was established in 2020 by Jared Gutstadt, previously associated with Jingle Punks. In just its first two years of operation, Audio Up had successfully produced over 30 podcasts featuring renowned artists and celebrities. I had the privilege of being commissioned to produce the podcast “Beyond 28” for the Golden State Warriors.
“Beyond 28” aims to commemorate and pay homage to the Black community beyond the confines of February’s 28 days, through engaging conversations and compelling stories, listeners are taken on a profound journey into the rich Black history of the Bay Area. The show is expertly hosted by Marc J. Spears, a senior NBA writer for ESPN’s The Undefeated, adding an extra layer of expertise.
Role
As part of the team, my role involved conducting both remote and in-person interviews, recording each conversation. I was responsible for producing audio inserts and contribute to the show’s narrative. Lastly, I took charge of delivering the finalised show edit, ensuring a polished and compelling podcast ready for broadcast.
